"Wolfrost offer up a sonic palate that borrows from several different sources at once. Their debut album, Spirit of the Seasons, jumps out as largely influenced by Agalloch, and indeed that seems to be their biggest inspiration, particularly on the opening track “Beckoning”, but there is a lot more to this album than meets the ear immediately.

Spirit of the Seasons is a solid album that combines influences from the folkier side of black metal, death metal, and progressive elements. It is a contemplative journey through natural and supernatural landscapes."

Officially got too impatient for their new album Seventh Secular Crusade to be available here on bandcamp so hoping this album plus the couple new albums (to me) I recently bought will keep distracted enough until I can buy that too. Fantasque & Fantastique ! I love RandomWalk. I cannot think of any other group sounding like them. The closest you could get is a combination of Divercia, Oceans of Sadness, Mercenary and fresh garlic. Well, while randomly starting the album, I envisioned an extreme version of RandomWalk, and my heart beat faster. I drink decaf' coffee. Zornheym may not know any of the cited groups. Like them, they created a unique flavour of metal. unidual
